Description
Francis “D” Desmond, oldest child of Heintz & Weber Owners Steven & Suzanne Desmond was Diagnosed with both Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 2007, and Autism in 2008. Francis, an incredible young artist, along with Steven, a multi-award winning professional photographer and photojournalist, published The book “A Life With A Purpose” in 2012 to raise awareness and much needed dollars for research. A first of its kind, the book is a smooth collaboration of a child’s artistic vision with family photographs – a vision of family and a book every family can relate too.
100% of all dollars raised from book sales go to research; our primary beneficiary being Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, www.parentprojectmd.org, who is at the forefront of research to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. More than $11,000 has been donated through 2017. Francis Facebook page with continuous photos and updates can be seen at http://www.faccbook.com/dprimefocus.
