Chef Henri' Mustard BBQ Sauce

Chef Henri' Mustard BBQ Sauce

Ahh finally... it's Spring!

A time of year where the days get a little longer, the heat starts to build, and the birds begin to sing.

Males have sung their songs for millions of years in search of females to court, but I'm sure it's for something else as well.

That's right, Barbecue season!

Back in the 1700s, German settlers arrived in the heart of South Carolina and began adding mustard to their already popular vinegar-based barbecue sauce. This provided complex flavor with a smooth soft finish.

Today, you can now have the best version yet, with Weber's Brand Horseradish Mustard! The horseradish magnifies the bite and aroma of this already beautiful glaze.

Make sure to try it for yourself and let us know what you think!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Weber's Brand Horseradish Mustard
  • 1 stick salted butter
  • 1.5-2 cups light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper

Directions

Pour mustard into large sauce pan and place pan on low/medium-low heat. Slowly melt butter within warm Weber's Brand Horseradish Mustard.

Add brown sugar and whisk to make sure the sugar dissolves within the sauce. Finish off by adding rice vinegar and crushed red pepper. Incorporate all ingredients together and enjoy!

Perfect addition to 6-8 pounds of shredded pork shoulder for pulled pork sandwiches!
